Children science congress begins at NIT

Imphal, December 15 2021:
The 29th state level national children science congress kicked off on Wednesday at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Lamphelpat, Imphal.
Former VC of Manipur University professor H Nandakumar opened the science congress, which is being organised jointly by Science Teachers' Forum, Manipur and NIT Lamphelpat.
In his speech, professor H Nandakumar said that the journey of science in the state began in early part of 1980s and it has progressed significantly now.
Students taking part in the science congress would not only get opportunity to interact with mentors and judges but also get the chance to bring out innovative ideas.
The event was also attended by NIT Lamphlepat director Goutam Sutradhar, director (science & technology) Homila Hongrei and Science Teachers' Forum Manipur president L Dwijendra.
Altogether 49 students from different educational institutions of the state are participating in the congress in senior and junior categories.
