ICOP on AKAM held at Thoubal

Imphal, October 17 2022:
A one day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 8 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan was organised by Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office, Imphal at Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal district.
Speaking at the event, CBC Imphal head Dr Aribam Ibomcha Sharma outlined the objectives of AKAM, 8 Years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan while resource persons including Political Science HOD Prof N Jotinkumar Singh and History HOD Md Ahmed Ali Shah explained elaborately on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in Manipur context.
The contributions of unsung heroes of the Indian freedom struggle from Manipur namely Kokami Naga and Chirai Naga were discussed.
The historian also opined that the victims of the Jalian Wala Bagh Massacre were also unsung heroes.
In his presidential address, College principal Prof H Manoranjan highlighted achievements during the 8 years of Seva and Sushasan of the Central government.
Later, an Azadi Quest quiz contest was organised and prizes distributed to the winners.
Private Registered Troupes (PRT) of this office namely M/S Nata Sankirtan Pala, Singjamei presented a Thang ta show and other cultural activities.
