PM Kisan Samruddhi Kendra opened in Heingang

Imphal, October 17 2022:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated around 600 Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) for different states including Manipur, during the inauguration programme of the PM Kisan Samman Sammelan held at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.
The PMKSKs were inaugurated under the aegis of Ministry of Chemical and Fertilisers.
For Manipur, the centre was opened at Lairik Yengbam Leikai in Heingang AC.
The inaugural function in the state was attended by Department of Agriculture extension officer L Sanatomba, assistant fertiliser officer (AFO) N Santakumar and All Manipur Fertiliser Association president Y Iboyaima as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, N Santakumar pointed out that the PM Modi-led BJP government has been taking up various welfare schemes for the farmers.
Various works have been taken up under the RKVY scheme for further development of the agriculture sector and improving the life of the farmers.
Presently, the focus is on organic farming.
Most recently, a nano-fertiliser was also produced, he said, while adding that opening of the PMKSK will be of highly beneficial to the farmers.
KVK, Hengbung also organised a webcasting of the two-day 'PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022', at its campus on Monday.
In all, 161 participants attended the inaugural function held with BJP ST Morcha Kangpokpi District president Lunkhose Kipgen, FGI College of Biotechnology Hengbung head (in-charge) Dr Th Dhanarak and KVK Hengbung senior scientist Dr N Jotsana as presidium members.
During the event, two farmers, namely Sabun Balang of Makuilongdi village and Achou Thuimai of Makhan village were felicitated for successfully doubling their income.
Later, sprayer, mustard seeds, mushroom spores/ spawns, Neem products, vermi-bag, vermi-compost, and saplings of lemon and bananas were distributed to 41 farmers.
ICAR-KKV, Churachandpur also organised PM Kisan Samman Sammelan at its Pearsonmun village office.
The function was attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi as chief guest, KVK, Churachandpur head Dr L Somendro Singh as functional president, BJP general secretary (administration) L Deven Singh and secretary K Bikram Singh as guests of honour, and BJP Churachandpur district president Thangngam Haokip as special guest.
The dignitaries distributed rabi crop seeds and agricultural input to the beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries highlighted purpose of the event, commended the KVK and its scientist for their tireless effort and dedication towards creating sustain-able income for farmers, stressed on the need for farmers to collaborate with the scientific community in vari-ous programmes so as to improve their livelihood and standards of living, elaborated farmers oriented policy programme being implemented by the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During her speech, Sharda Devi praised the farmers coming from various parts of the district for their active participation in the PM Kisan Sammelan, which is one of the most important flagship programmes of the union government.
She appreciated the effort and work done by the KVK for doubling farmers income and emphasised on horizontal spread of such activities so that the socio-economic condition of the district can be improved, leading to the growth of the state and nation building process.
Altogether, 270 farmers including 106 female from different villages of the district participated in the programme.
THOUBAL: KVK, Thoubal organised webcasting of the inaugural function of the two-day 'PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022' inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on Monday.
The event held at KVK's training hall was attended by Wangbal GP pradhan H Manichandra, BJP Thoubal district president Y Kumarijit, Rice Research Station-Wangbal rice breeder N Kumar and KVK Thoubal senior scientist and head Dr S Zeshmarani as presidium members.
In all, 98 farmers under KVK Thoubal attended the programme.
