CM for promoting history of Manipur

Union minister of state for external affairs and education Dr RK Ranjanbas stated that he became a union minister due to strength/power of the people of Manipur.
Speaking at a felicitation programme organised in his honour by BJP Manipur Pradesh at its Nityaipat Chuthek here on Sunday, RK Ranjan informed that both the portfolios assigned to him by PM Narendra Modi are important and they would help in improving education sector in the North East and enhance economic activities under the Act East Policy to bring overall development in the region.
Prime Minister Modi is a leader, who always said India cannot develop without developing the North East and love people of the region,, RK Ranjan said and appealed to people to give suggestions so that tasks assigned to him by the Prime Minister could be executed successfully.
He also promised to give more emphasis on developing education sector as youth are the future pillar of the nation.
Chief minister N Biren, who also attended the event, said that younger generation of Manipur must be taught about supreme sacrifice made by different communities for Manipur's freedom and it is important to include syllabus in school level to remember the forgotten history.
It was not only the Meitei community who fought against the British but different communities settling in the land including Nagas took part in the war and sacrificed their lives for the motherland, Biren said and expressed hope that harmony among different communities of Manipur could be strengthened if history of brave sons who sacrificed their lives for the land identified recently are included in school syllabus.
While stating that the government has started giving loan to those who want to earn livelihood without waiting for government job, the chief minister also assured that Olympian Park, bigger INA park and Khongjom Tengol park being taken up by the present government would be handed over to people before the 2022 election.
The felicitation event was also attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi, ministers and MLAs.
