Imphal, August 22 2021:
Manipur Secretariat Services' Association (MSSA) has condemned the state government's continued silence on the cease work strike launched by government employees.
In a release, MSSA Action Committee stated that all employees under the state government including that of Manipur Secretariat have been on an indefinite cease work strike since August 17 demanding fulfilment of their charter of demands.
The cease work strike is being launched jointly by MSSA and Manipur Government Services' Federation including nurses, doctors and engineers.
Despite signing numerous MoUs, the government has not translated the demands into action till date and this indifferent attitude of the government is akin to adding fuel to fire, it added.
MSSA continued that the government functioning without the administrative skill and responsibility at this juncture is highly condemnable.
A responsible government is expected to resolve the issues at the earliest for the betterment of all and good administration in the state, it said.
