With the vision that India cannot compete with global leading countries without improving road connectivity, Union minister Nitin Gadkari provided road development package for NE region including Manipur and this has made clearer the BJP government's slogan - India cannot develop without developing the NE region.
In-spite of the loss of more than two years due to COVID-19 pandemic, road development projects in the state are progressing at a faster pace and preparations are on for road projects worth more than Rs 15,000 crore.
