One more death takes total to 2122; 90 more test positive
Vaccination low at just 53.59 pc (2nd dose)

Despite the slow but steady increase in the number of new Covid cases everyday, vaccination against the virus continues to lag with only 53.59 percent of the eligible population having received the second dose while 62.08 percent have received the first dose.
This figure is after taking into consideration the 10,738 vaccines administered on July 18 to take the cumulative number of dose administered to 30,22,234.This is inclusive of 12,74,192 second dose and 1,43,669 precautionary dose.
The 53.59 percent is a slight climb from the 53.54 percent (second dose) on July 18 while for the first dose the 62.08 is a slight increase from the 62.06 recorded on July 18 .
Kangpokpi continues to be the least vaccinated district with only 17.72 percent of the eligible population having received the second dose while 22.87 have received the first dose.
Kamjong fares no better as only 31.23 percent have received the second dose and 38.74 percent the first dose.
At Ukhrul only 32 percent have received the second dose while 42.31 have received the first jab.
The other hill' districts, save for Chandel and Churachandpur, continue to come low down on the vaccination chart with none having crossed the 40 percent mark in the second dose.
Manipur recorded one more death in the last 24 hours to take the cumulative number of persons succumbing to the virus to 2122.The deceased person had comorbidities and was not vaccinated, said the COVID-19 Common Control Room, quoting a report from the COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee.
The deceased person was from Kakching.
In the last 24 hours, the State logged 90 new cases, the same as July 18 to take the cumulative number of positive cases to 1,38,123 including 5016 Central security personnel.
The new cases were detected while testing a total of 911 samples to take the daily positivity rate to 9.9 percent.
The 90 new cases, all drawn from amongst the civilians were detected at RIMS (8), JNIMS (7) and other testing centres (75) .
The new cases are drawn from Imphal East (20), Imphal West (51), Thoubal (2), , Bishnuppur (7), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (5), Tamenglong (1), Tengnoupal (1), Churachandpur (1) and Noney (1) .
The highest number of cases were detected at Imphal West with 51 (24.5 pc TPR) followed by Imphal East with 20 (20.6 pc TPR) and Ukhrul with 5 (11.6 percent TPR) .
The number of active cases is now 576 including 2 Central security personnel.
Six districts namely Jiribam (402 samples), Chandel (15 samples), Senapati (12 samples) Kangpokpi (7 samples), Pherzawl (2 samples), Kamjong (2 samples) had no new cases in the last 24 hours.
Tests were conducted in all the 16 districts of the State.
Altogether 50 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours from home isolation (42), RIMS (3) and SHRI (5).With this the total number of recovered cases is now 1,35,425 including 5007 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate is 98.05 percent.
The number of beds occupied at RIMS has seen a slight increase in the last 24 hours with 29 beds occupied, up from the 21 on July 18.At JNIMS the number of beds occupied has seen a slight decrease at 15 down from the 17 on July 18 .
A total of 86 D Type oxygen cylinders and 26 B Type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres on July 18 .
