Patsoi AC contestants stress better road condition

Candidates in the fray for the Patsoi assembly constituency seat in the ensuing 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly shared their views, vision and objective for contesting the polls to The People's Chronicle during exclusive interviews.
INC candidate Akoijam Mirabai confided that she has been serving the people of her constituency as well as the state for the last 10 years and is contesting the election to continue her service to the public to bring further development.
The sitting MLA said that she has completed water supply projects and improved road connectivity significantly and is eager to pay special focus on health sector and economic development programmes to improve the living standard of the people of her constituency.
The MLA-also vowed to work for making the state self-reliant arid enrich the value of democracy.
On the other-hand, BJP's Sapam Kunjakeswor (Keba) said that he is contesting mainly for playing a major role in amending the MLR&LR Act and as for his constituency, first priority will be developing the road networks into mechanised roads.
Maintaining that there is a wrong notion of Manipur lacking resources, he said that the government has not been able to utilise the untapped resources of the state, and he has the vision to bring economic development to make the state self-reliant.
NPP candidate RK Rameshwar contended that Patsoi AC is lagging behind in developmental front in the absence of agricultural policy and other infrastructure.
He is contesting the election to improve infrastructure, mobilise resources and promote economic activities.
Once elected, he will improve water supply system to provide regular safe drinking water to the people of the constituency apart from improving road connectivity.
He said that resources could be developed and the state reach new heights of development through human resource development, mobilising tourism resources and channelising cross border trade in order to bring all round development in the state.
Sharing his thoughts, JD-U candidate Wakambam Ibomcha too vowed to improve road connectivity and bring developmental changes in the society.
His first priority for the people of Patsoi AC would be economic development, he said expressed desire to amend the MLR&LR Act to foster a new environment of peaceful co-existence among the different communities of the state and to bring equitable development across the state.
He is looking forward to serving the state and its people with sincerity and sacrificial spirit, he added.
