Imphal, February 13 2022:
JDU candidate and MLA of Thangmeiband AC, Khumukcham Joykishan has asserted that the State is doomed to head in a disastrous direction if money power is employed to accomplish everything in elections.
Kh Joykishan expressed this sentiment during a youth meet conducted at Thangmeiband Chingakham Community Hall organised by TAKDO Youth Forum on Sunday.
He continued that youths of today desire a corruption-free and drug-free society and raised the question of who will work for the betterment of the State if everyone became money-oriented.
He further informed that after JDU comes to power, his first priority would be to upgrade the Gurukul at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai to the level of a higher secondary school.

Further, the MLA shared that the youth forum was created with the long term vision of encouraging the youth's contribution in the development of Thangmeiband in particular and the State in general.
Stating that a huge section of the youth have been lost to the scourge of drugs and the curse of unemployment, he added that when the youth of a nation crumbles, the rest of society follows suit.
He urged the people to stop putting their faith in tried and tested national political parties and appealed to them to give JDU a chance and cast their votes in his favour.
The youth meet was also attended by Ngangom Tejkumar, former Director of Prosecution, Govt of Manipur.
