LCIG extends monetary aid to SAVI football team

Imphal, January 22 2023:
Lions Club of Imphal Greater (LCIG) has donated a monetary sum of Rs 20,000 to the Sports Association for the Visually Impaired (SAVI), Manipur during a small function held at football of Club, Lamgdeng, Imphal West.
According to a statement, the monetary aid was extended in support of SAVI's football team who are set to participate in the 4th Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF) Northeast Zone Blind Football Toumament, 2023 .
Reportedly, the tournament will be held in Arunachal Pradesh from January 28 to 30 .
L Ashok Kumar, Secretary, Lions Club of Imphal Greater (LCIG) handed over the financial assistance to Khundrakpam Premjit, secretary, SAVI, Manipur.
The function was attended by Gokul Wangkhem, treasurer, LCIG; Arun Thongam, administrator, LCIG; Laimayum Amarendra, president, SAVI as well as coach, and manager of the team and other key members of LCIG.
During the function, L Ashok Kumar wished the team success and also spoke about the humanitarian services rendered by the Club in the field of health such as health check up, diabetics detection, eye check up and blood donation; environment, namely, tree plantation and relieving hunger in the form of assistance to children and old ages homes etc.
