Wins for NAPSA, OSCAR in Plate Tournament

Imphal, January 22 2023:
NAPSA (Kha Imphal) and OSCAR (Paona Bazar) were the victors in Sunday's matches of the MNCA Plate Tournament.
NAPSA claimed a dominant 70-run win over RRCC (Churachandpur) at Oriental College.
Electing to bat, NAPSA were dismissed for 185 in 39.5 overs.
Richard Kshetrimayum remained unbeaten on 50 as Premananda Ahongshangbam scored 25, Heisnam both Boney and Sengtung made 20, and Rocky Yumnam contributed 11 in their innings.
The Kha Imphal side then bowled out RRCC for 115 in 28.2 overs courtesy of brilliant bowling efforts from Heisnam Boney and Albert Sorokhaibam.
Boney claimed four scalps and Albert picked up three wickets, with Rocky Yumnam taking one for the winning team.
In their chase, Haojalen Kipgen churned out a fine knock of 61 and Thangkhopao made 14 to be on the losing side.
Earlier, Thangkhopao snapped four wickets and Haojalen Kipgen grabbed three, coupled with one each from Louriyam Elan Singh and Ningthoujam Shyamsunder Singh for RRCC.
Heisnam Boney, who took 4 wickets and scored 20 runs, got the man of the match accolade.
OSCAR, meanwhile, beat NCA (Ningthoukhong) by one wicket in a low-scoring match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
OSCAR bundled out NCA for 85 in 19.2 overs and then they chased down the target in 14.1 over for the loss of nine wickets.
Boocker Kangjam was the chief destroyer for OSCAR, racking up five wickets as Zenith Nongmaithem impressed with four scalps and Sorokhaibam Samson chipped in one to lay the foundation for their side's victory.
The Paona Bazar squad then completed the chase in 14.1 overs, losing nine wickets in the process.
Nongmaithem Bijendro was unbeaten on 31 and Zenith Nongmaithem scored 18 in OSCAR's win.
Other run-getters for the winning team were S Samson (5), Robin Irengbam (3), Ringku Kangujam (2) and Pawankumar Wahengbam (1).Nongmaithem Bijendro claimed the man of the match title for his 31 (not out) .
