Golden Jubilee celebration of ST Paul's Parish concludes

The 3-days long Golden Jubilee celebration of St Paul's Parish concluded today at St Paul's Parish Center in Liwachangning, Chandel district.
The celebration began on January 20 with the hoisting of the Jubilee Flag and cutting the ribbon of Jubilee Hall by Rev Fr Joshep Haomuonlian.
The closing ceremony of the Golden Jubilee celebration held under the theme, "Rooted and Grounded in Love" was attended by Chandel AC MLA, SS Olish Lamkang and Archbishop Imphal, DD Rev Dominic Lumon as presidium members.
Archdiocese Imphal, financial administrator, Rev Fr Franvis Vialo; Holy Redeemer Parish Canchipur parish priest Rev Fr Stephen Touthang; Little Flower School Imphal superior & principal, Rev Sr Maria Dilbung and MCYO director, Rev Fr Albert Leivon also took part in the programme as speakers.
Addressing the gathering, Olish Lamkang extended her appreciation to the Celebration Committee for inviting her to the Golden Jubilee celebration.
She appreciated St Paul's Parish for its noble endeavour and added that the Parish has been providing its services to improve the education standard and morality of the people for years.
"As a torchbearer in the field of education, St Paul's Parish has established three Parishes namely St Anthony's Parish Marimchi, St George Parish Moreh and St Peter's Parish Chandel, to reach out to more people in the State", she added.
The MLA expressed hope that the Parish would continue its noble effort and implement new technological methods & innovations to provide quality education and guidance to the people.
As a part of the event, SS Olish unveiled the Golden Jubilee Monument and released the Jubilee souvenir.
Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the Choir Song, Bible Skit, choreography and talent show competitions conducted during the 3-days long celebration.
Catholic pioneers, catechists, Church leaders, priests, sisters, fathers, village heads, officers of police and Assam Rifles, and CSO leaders also participated in the celebration.
