Medical camp held at various places

Thoubal, January 22 2023:
ZEO Zone-III Thoubal; District Hospital Thoubal, Eye Department and National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment, Thoubal jointly organised a vision screening camp at Khangabok Higher Secondary School on Saturday.
Vision testing was carried out for about 97 persons including students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the school during the camp conducted under the aegis of Thoubal District Administration.
Out of which, 20 persons were found in need of spectacles and 2 persons were referred to District Hospital Thoubal for further examination.
The camp was attended by Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash; ZEO Zone-III Thoubal, Arambam Anilkumar and National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment, District Nodal Officer, Dr Ksh Mekcha.
People Welfare Organisation (PEO) Thoubal Wangmataba in association with Green Valley Welfare Association and Scarlet Eye Care & Contact Lens Thoubal also organised a 1-day free eye camp at PWO ground in Thoubal Wangmataba Mayai Leikai today.
Medical care was provided to about 110 villagers of the area.
Moreover, a free medical camp was also conducted on January 19 at Heirok Community Health Center in Thoubal District.
During the camp, a medical team composed of MO in-charge, supervisor and staff of Heirok CHC along with ASHAs of the area provided medical care and free medicines to about 100 villagers.
