HYC appeals for subdued Id-ul-Fitr

Imphal, April 06 2024: Extending greetings on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr, Hangamthabi Youth Club (HYC), Lilong Hangamthabi has called for subdued celebration of the festival.

In a release, HYC general secretary Md Yunus Khan conveyed that it appeals for celebrating the festival only in religious manner and foregoing other festive activities is in consideration of the pain and suffering being faced by the people since the communal conflict erupted in the state since May 3, 2023.HYC further urged Muslim brethren to pray for peace and communal harmony in the state as well as for the Muslims of Palestine who have been suppressed by Israel.
