Elect candidate committed to Manipur's unity: Rameshwar

Urging the people of Manipur not to take the ensuing Lok Sabha elections lightly, Keirao MLA Lourembam Rameshwar, who is also the PDA chairman, stressed on the need elect the candidate who has the firm resolve to uphold Manipur's integrity and dare to assert to the central government for a peaceful and progressive Manipur.
In connection with the Lok Sabha election, a meeting of the representatives of 39 polling booths of Keirao assembly constituency was held at the residence of MLA Rameshwar, on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering, Rameshwar cautioned that the conflict between the Meeteis and the Kukis is not over yet.
However, as a way forward to ending the crisis is likely, all should accord importance to the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and elect the most competent from amongst the three candidates considered as strongest contenders to lead Manipur towards the path of peace and development and who can press the centre for the same.
He also pointed out the need to not let the election create divisions among the Meetei community.
