General Observer, Police Observer inspect poll preparations in Chandel, Kangpokpi

Chandel/Kangpokpi, April 04 2024:
General Observer of 2- Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency, Ujjwal Kumar (IAS) and Police Observer Vaibhav Krishna (IPS) arrived in Chandel District today in connection to the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024 .
They were accorded a warm welcome by the District Election Officer (DEO)/ Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chandel, Mayanglangbam Rajkumar (IAS) and Superintendent of Police, Pandey Hemant M (IPS) at the DC Office Complex, Chandel district.
The two observers took stock of the poll preparedness for the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024 in the district and also interacted with the DEO and the SP.
At the DC Office Complex, the two observers conducted on the spot inspection of the strong rooms.
They also inspected the procedures and protocols followed by the election officials in handling and guarding the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines.
Kangpokpi
The two observers also visited Kangpokpi District yesterday in connection to the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024.District Election Officer (DEO)/Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mahesh Chaudhari (IAS) and Superintendent of Police, Manoj Prabhakar (IPS) greeted the extended warm welcome to the observers at the DC Office Complex, Kangpokpi district.
The two observers took stock of the poll preparedness for the ensuing 18 th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024 in the district and also interacted with the DEO and the SP.
Later, the observers visited the UJB School in Haipi under the Saitu Assembly Constituency.
The school will serve as one of the many polling stations for the upcoming election.
The observers interacted with the staff of the school.
They also visited and interacted with the relief camp inmates at Keithelmanbi.
Following that, the observers visited the Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (SH-ADC) Office, where polling officers are being given training for the election.
At the venue, they interacted with the polling officers and shared poll related experiences.
At the DC Office Complex, the two observers conducted on the spot inspection of the strong rooms.
They also inspected the procedures and protocols followed by the election officials in handling and guarding the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (WPAT) machines.
