Observers review poll preparations in Chandel

Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency general observer Ujjwal Kumar and police observer Vaibhav Krishna visited Chandel district and took stock of the preparations being made for the 18th Lok Sabha election on Thursday.
The two observers were received by Chandel district election officer (DEO)/ deputy commissioner (DC) Mayanglambam Rajkumar, Tengnoupal DEO/DC Krishnakumar, Chandel superintendent of police Hemant Pandey, Tengnoupal SP Rahul Gupta and Chandel ADM Md Firoj Khan at Chandel DC's Office where the observers reviewed activities taken up in connection with the parliamentary polls and inspected the vote counting hall and strong room.
, It may be mentioned here that Chandel district has a total of 45,617 voters, out of which 23,893 are female electors.
The district will have a total of 80 polling stations, of which 20 wifi be managed exclusively by women personnel.
