Polling personnel trained, randomisation held

Imphal/Kangpokpi, April 04 2024:
Training for female polling officers-2 and 3 was conducted at Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (SH-ADC) office in Kangpokpi district on Thursday.
The polling personnel were trained in handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) and usage of mobile apps e-Atlas and Poll Star.
A total of 198 female polling officers attended the training conducted under the supervision of Kangpokpi deputy DEO/T Waichong SDO Lam-minlal Simte, AC to DC Samuel Misao, Island and Lhungtin SDO S Plim Reikhenamai, Kangpokpi SDC Lunlenmoi Vai-phei, Champhai SDC Lamginlen and DIO/NIC Ashish Dhawal.
Meanwhile, the second round of randomisation of polling personnel assigned duty in the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Election in respect of the 13 assembly segments under Imphal West district was conducted at the NIC Room of District Election Office, Imphal West on Thursday.
The randomisation process was chaired by Imphal West district election officer (DEO) Th Kirankumar and monitored by Inner Manipur parliamentary constituency general observer Dr Dhavalkumar K Patel.
Additional DEOs, assistant returning officers (AROs), nodal officers and other key officials were also present during the second round of randomisation process.
On the other hand, the second randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs in respect of 1319 polling stations of the 32 assembly segments falling within Inner Manipur PC will be held at Kombirei Hall, DC Office Complex, Lamphelpat on Friday.
