MNCA Elite Tournament : Bowlers, Prafullomani shine as TRAU crush CRAU by 10 wickets

TRAU bowlers devastated CRAU line up before Prafullomani hit an unbeaten 50-ball 75 in their chase for 95 runs in the ongoing 8 th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2023-24 .
TRAU, Kwakeithel chose wisely to field first this morning at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground and bundled out CRAU, Khamnam Bazar for a meagre total of 94 runs in 22.4 overs and cruised to the target within 13.2 overs courtesy of Prafullomani's prolific batting performance.
Priyojit Kangabam (3/24 in 6.4 overs), Somoijit Salam (3/32 in 6 overs) and Mutum Swabhiman (2/11 in 5 overs) did early job to put TRAU in the front foot as they wreaked havoc across CRAU batting line up.
Only three batters - Lamabam Jotin 25, Sanatomba K 12 and Khangenbam Bimol 10 were able to register double digit scores for CRAU in their innings which also saw Puinachandra pick up a wicket for TRAU.
Pukhrambam Prafullomani clobbered 11 fours and 3 sixes on the way to his 75 as he forged an unbroken 95 with Yumnam Kamajit (30-ball 17) in reply to seal the huge victory.
Prafullomani was adjudged man of the match.
Gemson stars as PTCC seal 6-wicket win
Gemson produced an all round performance to hand PTCC, Patsoi Part III a 6-wicket win over Model Club, Singjamei Chingamakha at Lairenjam Public Ground today.
Sadananda Okram 3/31, Loukrakpam Anao 2/25 and Gemson (2/22) shared 7 wickets to subdue Model Club all out for 146 runs in 39.4 overs.
In reply, PTCC posted 150/4 wickets in 40.5 overs courtesy of Gemson 38, Hijam Hemchandra 30 not out, Paonam Champion 26 and Sohail Akram 23 not out.
Dibak Naorem 35, Ronald Ningombam 28, Bipinkumar Langpoklakpam 21 and Bijenkumar Nongmaithem 14 were the the double digit run getters for Model Club in their innings which also saw Sohail Akram, Naorem Victor and Dominic Moirangthem pick up a wicket apiece.
For Model Club, Sunil Salam, Dibak Naorem and Waikhom Priyokumar claimed a wicket apiece.
Sandeep Chakraborty bowls SCCC to 2 wicket win
Sandeep Chakraborty enjoyed a fifer and Ulenyai Khwairakpam anchored with a slow but significant 102-ball 73 not out to guide SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai to a 2 wicket win over ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound.
Sandeep (5/19 in 9 overs) and Rakeshwor Republic Hidangmayum (3/17) rattled the ESU batting line up to bowl them out for 128 runs in 38.5 overs.
ESU skipper Sanatomba topscored with 46 for the team while M Bimananda added second highest 26.Basant and Lishan Khaidem also chipped in a wicket apiece for SCCC in this innings.
In response, Ulenyai hit 7 fours on the way to his unbeaten 73 to steer SCCC to 129/8 in 38.2 overs despite ESU bowlers constant effort to derail the chase.
Chongtham Mehul Shreth led the ESU bowling attack and returned with the best figures of 3/20 in 8 overs while Sanatomba claimed two wickets (2/15) .
Sandeep Chakraborty who starred with a five wicket haul was adjudged man of the match.
