RRM organises free medical camp

Royal Riders Manipur (RRM) organisedits 23rd free medical camp in New Tousom village under Jessami sub division, Ukhrul on Monday.
Around 70 riders of the motorcycle club including seven doctors went to the village and organised the health camp.
A Covid-19 awareness programme was also conducted as a part of the camp, which was attended by over 200 villagers.
Medicines, masks and san-itizers were also distributed to the villagers free of cost.
Later, fruit bearing tree saplings were planted by the group in the village.
Members of RRM presented simple gifts to citizens who are above 70 years in connection with the 15th Foundation Day of the club.
Speaking on the sidelines of the camp, New Tousom village headman Shangmaiyo Vashum informed that the villagers do not fully avail the healthcare benefits provided by the government.
Though the village has a primary health centre, the villagers cannot get treatment as there are no doctors and nurses, he pointed out.
The headman lauded RRM for organising the free health camp by coming to the remote village.
