KSC started the game brightly by dominating possession and creating a series of chances.
Their efforts paid off at the stroke of the half hour mark when Ginkholen found the breakthrough goal in the 30th minute.
Spirited KSC, which also claimed this year's Winners' Cup title, got the second goal via H Robinson in the 41st minute before Ginminthang gave KSC an unassailable 3-0 lead with his strike at the stroke of the half time.

In the Group B opener, DM RAO came back from 3 goals down to edge past ASSA, Sangaiyumpham 4-3 in a thriller as Kinesh struck twice in the second half.
ASSA took a freak first minute goal courtesy Md Arish Khan exploiting a defensive lapse on the part of the Sekmai team and were 2-0 ahead with Md Ajaz scoring another in the 11th minute.
Md Ajaz converted a penalty in the 36th minute to complete his brace before DM RAO pulled back a goal in the 44th minute with L Bicky finding the target to make it 1-3 .
Things turned around after the lemon break as A Kinesh helped further cut the deficit for DM RAO in the 58th minute with a clinical finish and K Ibotombi pulled level in the 62nd minute.

Latter in the second Group B league match, Classic FA sealed a 2-1 comeback win over AMOFA, Moirang as H Tomba (27') and Serto Worneilen Kom (64') scored after Aribam Saroj provided AMOFA an early lead with a 7th minute strike.
