Beneficiaries Committee files complaint to DC, IW

Beneficiaries Committee of 20-Langthabal Assembly Constituency, Polling Station no 20/2 and 20/3 has alleged that 32 households in Khongnangpheidekpi in Langthabal AC included in the beneficiary list have been deprived of the ration and are not even provided with ration cards.
The above was informed by Thongam Bishwanath@Bullu, the convenor of the Committee during a press meet held at Khongnangpheidekpi today.
He further stated that they found that the names of the beneficiaries of the 32 households are included in the beneficiary list of Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), Non-National Food Security Act (NFSA) and Priority Household (PHH) uploaded on internet by National Informatics Centre (NIC) based on the report of CAF & PD.
When the committee members visited the aforementioned households and interacted with the members, the informed that they have not received any ration and do not even have ration cards which is surprising, he added.
He went on to inform that some households are not even aware that they are included in the beneficiary list.
As per the complaints of the beneficiaries, the Committee has been formed and a written complaint has been submitted to Imphal West DC and a copy each have been sent to the Director, CAF & PD and DSO, Imphal West, he continued.
Questioning where has the ration share of these 32 households have gone, Th Bullu said that the Committee has urged the Government authorities concerned to provide the due share of ration and the ration cards to the beneficiaries at the earliest.
The Pradhan of Oinam Thingel Gram Panchayat, Thongam Guneshwor@ Dara who was present on the occasion expressed concern that there might have been loopholes in the whole Langthabal AC regarding the distribution of ration and sought a clarification from MLA Karam Shyam who was the former CAF & PD Minister on this matter.
