Nishikant stated that about 3,200 strong members of Team Nishikant welcomed the Prime Minister when he visited the State recently.
"People know very well to whom the party should have given its ticket and on whose office maximum number of electors is gathered even after the candidates list was announced," he asserted.
Responding to another query, Nishikant asked how can he do things that are detrimental to the BJP and added that neither he nor his team members burnt or tore BJP flags and posters after he was denied the party's ticket .
"I convinced the Team Nishikant members to not burn or tear BJP flags and posters", he added.
On being asked how he will contest the election, Nishikant said that he entered electoral politics to 'change the system at his level best though I may be the lone ranger here' .
Other candidates might have received assistance or some sort of support from their parties, Nishikant continued and added that for him people, especially Team Nishikant is his source of strength.
