Minister Dikho, MLA Kayisii file nomination

PHE and Printing & Stationery minister Losii Dikho filed his nomination for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly from Mao AC as Naga People's Front (NPF) candidate on Tuesday.
Tadubi AC MLA and National People's Party state president N Kayisii also filed his nomination as a NPP nominee.
The nomination papers were filed at the office of Returning Officer (RO) H L Jain.
Filing of nomination for the second phase of the Assembly elections will continue till February 11 and scrutiny of Nomination paper will be taken up on February 14.The last date for withdrawal of candidature will be February 16.Briefly talking to newspersons, minister Losii Dikho pledged to contribute his mite towards peaceful conduct of election for Mao assembly constituency scheduled for March 3 .
While hoping to come out successfully, Losii Dikho stressed the need to make the polling process in Mao AC one the most peaceful polls in the whole state.
Meanwhile, former minister Kayisii stated that NPP is a political party that is loved by all and expressed confidence that the people will re-elect him.
Mention may be made that only two candidates have filed their nominations till date out of 15 nomination forms, which had been issued from the District Election Office, Senapati for three different assembly constituencies in the district.
Out of all the nomination forms issued from the office, 15 contenders from the BJP, INC, NPP, NPF, JD (U) including five independent candidates are likely to be in the fray for Assembly elections from Senapati district.
