Organic farming education tour organised

As part of civic action initiatives to achieve meaningful socio -economic development in Kana Valley, Sajik Tampak Battalion of IGAR (South) flagged off a 10-day organic farming education tour to Gangtok, Sikkim and back under Operational Sadbhavana project.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that 20 farmers (including 7 females) were flagged off by 28 Sector Assam Rifles MG Brig YS Sajwan from Kakching garrison.
The tour is designed and planned as an amalgamation of entertainment and to gain experience on organic farming.
The DIG interacted with all the farmers and laid emphasis on learning alongside enjoyment part during the course of the tour.
All participants were full of enthusiasm for their maiden visit to Sikkim, a state rich in organic farming and cultural heritages was selected as destination because of its natural beauty, varied flora and fauna be sides many attractive places.
Tour members will also be meeting renowned civil dignitaries during the tour to gain valuable exposure.
All participants were very happy and waved off caps during see off, the PRO added.
