AR reaches out to home, conducts medical camp

To motivate and guide the orphans in the Area of Responsibility, Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles of IGAR (South)' interacted with children and staff of Sang Ga Muon In orphanage home in Churachandpur district on Saturday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that Sector DIG Brig Michael D'Souza interacted with children and staff of the Orphanage and took cognisance of difficulties faced by the orphans.
The main motive behind the interaction was to talk to children and staff and ameliorate their difficulties and guide them for their future.
He also presented sport items and distributed sweet to children.
A total of 33 individuals including children and staff of said orphanage attended the same.
Meanwhile, Khuga Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a cleanliness drive in border village H Khunou in Churachandpur district on Saturday during which an interactive session on clean and healthy environment' was also conducted at the village followed by a comprehensive cleanliness session as part of the drive.
A total of 16 troops and 14 civilians took part in the drive.
Khuga Battalion also conducted a medical camp at RBC compound Mata village in Churachandpur district on Saturday which was attended by a total of 262 villagers.
The villagers were also briefed about the importance of hygiene and sanitation in daily-routine to avoid unwarranted diseases.
Special focus was given on educating the villagers on contagious diseases during winter season and females on various gynae issues and ways to prevent them.
