Medical camp conducted for school kids

Sehlon Battalion Assam Rifles of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) conducted a med ical camp for the school children of Wayang village with an aim to provide healthcare services to underserved and remote communities that have limited access to medical care.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the children in particular often face barriers in accessing to healthcare service due to a lack of facilities, trained medical professionals, and transportation options.
By conducting medical camp in the area, the Battalion aimed to bring essential medical services and treatment directly to the children of the community.
It can help to identify and treat health conditions in their early stages, reducing the need for more costly and complex interventions later on.
In addition, it can help to raise awareness and educate the com munity about important health issues, promoting healthy behaviours and prevention measures that can improve overall health outcomes.
Overall, conducting the medical camp for children in Wayang village helped to improve the health and well-being of the children and proved to be a valuable service for the children who did not have the access to healthcare otherwise, added the PRO.
