IIT, Indore students welcomed

Imphal, March 28 2023:
Under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam programme, a government of India initiative, a group of students from IIT, Indore and from different some districts of Madhya Pradesh, who arrived in the state, was accorded a grand welcome at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport by officials and students of NIT Manipur on Monday.
According to NIT Manipur registrar Kh Tomba, a team of 49 students from Madhya Pradesh, including six officials of IIT Indore reached Imphal.
The team will stay in the state till April 2 to understand and explore the rich culture and tradition of Manipur.
The emphasis will be on exchange of rich cultural and traditional and ideas between the two states through this visit.
A formal felicitation programme was organised at NIT Manipur campus to welcome the students of IIT Indore.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Kh Tomba Singh expressed happiness that 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangani' has been able to connect people from various parts of the country.
He also applauded the initiative of the government which aims to establish interrelationship between the youth of the North Eastern states and the rest of India.
