Union minister reviews central schemes in Thoubal

Thoubal, March 28 2023:
Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Kaushal Kishore on Tuesday reviewed various central schemes being implemented in the district.
Thoubal district deputy commissioner, A Subhash Singh accorded a warm welcome to the ministerial team.
In the meeting held at the conference hall of the DC, DLOs of various departments apprised the minister on various central sponsored schemes implemented by the departments.
Along with advising the DLOs to increase field visit for better monitoring and implementation of schemes, Kaushal Kishore stressed that all schemes should reach their optimum saturation to reach 100 per cent target.
Speaking on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the union minister instructed officials to adopt aggressive awareness programme and also suggested incorporation of messages regarding prevention of drug and substance abuse during the assembly/morning prayer programme in schools.
He also said that if drug and substance abuse is completely eradicated then there will be drastic reduction in crime rate, which will in turn improve health and economic conditions of the society.
Kaushal Kishore then said that each and every individual have an important role to play in the nation building process.
He advised all the officials to perform their duties diligently towards nation building process to achieve the dream of a developed nation by 2047 as envisaged by the Prime Minister.
The roadmap is to make India a global leader in the field of technology, agriculture, employment and in other fields, the minister added.
The meeting was attended by Thoubal SP Jogeshchandra Haobijam, ADM B Lokeshor Sharma and other district level officers.
Later, the union minister along with officials inspected the garbage dumping site located in the district.
