Manipur Nursing Council web portal launched

Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh has launched an official web portal of Manipur Nursing Council today at Classic Hotel, North AOC, Imphal.
On the occasion, Dr Ranjan said that the web portal will be of great help to people in the nursing profession as it will check the common problems being faced by the nursing students.
They (the nursing students) can also register themselves to the portal with a simple mouse click.
The Minister informed that India used to produce 1,92,679 ANM nurses, 1,33,299 GNM nurses and 17,141 Post Graduate nurses every year according to the 2021 report.
The Minister said that the figure, however, has gone down.
Saying that there are demands for Manipuri nurses abroad too, he added that nurses from Manipur are currently working in different States and abroad.
He appealed to the nursing community to serve the people with commitment and dedication while acknowledging the role of nurses during the peak of Covid pandemic.
Director of Health Services Manipur, Dr Kh Sasheekumar Mangang; Director AYUSH, Imphal, Dr Ak Lokendro Singh, Director NHM, Manipur, Dr Somorjit Ningombam and Registrar, Manipur Nursing Council, Dr Aribam Jamuna Devi also attended the programme among others.
