CTF Kpi provides aid to home isolation patients, conducts mass testing

In continuation to the COVID-19 preventive measures carried out by the COVID Task Force of Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency, the volunteers of CTF Kangpokpi visited all the COVID-19 patients under Home Isolation in Kangpokpi town and handed over the essential food items donated by the local MLA, Nemcha Kipgen.
The CTF Kangpokpi led by its chairman, Haolet Khongsai and secretary, Hekim Hangshing also conducted random COVID-19 testing within its jurisdiction.
Earlier, the CTF Kangpokpi in collaboration with a mobile testing team of District Hospital Kangpokpi and personnel of Kangpokpi police station also conducted mass COVID-19 testing of the shopkeepers and the people found violating the local lockdown in the town.
As a part of the mass testing drive, CTF Kangpokpi today in collaboration with Kangpokpi police led by SI Rex and COVID Testing Team of District Hospital Kangpokpi conducted another random mass testing of the shopkeepers of various locality who were left out in the previous mass testing drive.
Around 21 shopkeepers were tested at District Hospital Kangpokpi and all were found to be negative.
It may be mentioned that the local MLA had reportedly instructed the COVID Task Force to seal the shops of the people who are not willing to get tested during the drive.
The COVID Task Force Kangpokpi in presence of the concerned ward member has also discharged the home isolation patients after obtaining a negative report from the Medical department.
Speaking to media persons, Haolet Khongsai said that so far under the initiative of CTF Kangpokpi almost 500 individuals have already been tested during the mass testing drive and around 10 individuals were found positive.
He continued that the CTF Kangpokpi have also provided essential items to all the home isolation patients.
Haolet Khongsai further mentioned that apart from the mass testing drive, CTF Kangpokpi would continue to carry out various other activities for the welfare of the people.
