Assam Rifles extends help to Oinam village

In its untiring and relentless pursuit to help the villagers and as a part of social responsibility during the trying and testing time of COVID, Maram Battalion under the aegis of Jwalamukhi sector/ IGAR (E) outreached to the villagers of Oinam.
Commandant Maram Bn along with Second in-Command visited the village and provided COVID related relief material including essential medicines, PPE kits, masks, hand sanitizers, hygiene products, bed sheets and rations to the PHC Maram.
Rations and various other essential household items were also distributed to the less fortunate households of the Oinam village, sport items were too distributed among the local youth of the village.
The Commandant also addressed the people including the prominent members of village authority, Village chairman & secretary, youth bodies, doctors and nurses of PHC Oinam, and assured them of all possible help during the tough and testing times of COVID as well as in future.
He further urged all the villagers to follow the COVID protocol to remain safe and to forget the memories of past incidents and strive towards the all round development of the village and growth of villagers.
The village authorities also pledged to work in cooperation and harmony with SF and assured the Commandant to start a fresh new innings with SF forgetting the past and aiming for the development.
The unique gesture shown by Assam Rifles at this crucial time of COVID at Oinam village was applauded by all the villagers and local administration, said a release.
