MGSF for naming eligible veterinary director

Manipur Government Services Federation (MGSF) has urged the state government to consider the demand being made for appointing a director for Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department based on State Veterinary Council rules and guidelines by appointing an eligible director.
MGSF general secretary Purjit Lairikyengbam on June 5 had submitted a memorandum to the V&AH minister in this regard, which mentioned various problems faced by the department employees due to absence of a full-fledged veterinary director and demanded appointment of a regular director approved under service rules at the earliest.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Technical Employees' Union has also demanded appointment of an officer approved under rules and regulations as a regular director and cautioned that they will join the agitation launched by parties concerned, said a Union release.
