Drug dealer banished from Kangpokpi town

Kangpokpi, January 17 2023:
Kangpokpi local bodies on Tuesday expelled a man along with his family from Kangpokpi town on the charge of selling contraband items.
The man banished from the town has been identified as Mangkholal Khongsai, son of Ngullen Khongsai, a resident of Ward No.7.His wife has been identified as Nengpi Khongsai.
Strict vigil around the town by Kangpokpi Youth Union led to identification of the drug seller.
Mangkholal (drug seller) and his family were caught last year for their illegal business and the town committee ordered them to leave the town, following which they left the town but resettled within a few months after pleading that they would stop their illegal business.
The Kangpokpi Youth Union which had been keeping a strict vigil on the movement of suspect(s) finally apprehended a man, who disclosed that he had bought the brown sugar from Mangkholal Khongsai at his Ward No 7 residence.
Following the evidence, the Kangpokpi Town Committee directed the Kangpokpi Youth Union and Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organisation to expel Mangkholal and his family from the town on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, one Haominthang Hangshing, son of Lungkhosei Hangshing of Kangpokpi Ward No7, who was allegedly involved in stealing ducks, dogs, gas cylinders, Gospel missionary box, etc., was rounded up by Kangpokpi Youth Union on Tuesday and asked him to leave the town within one week.
