AR conducts Iconic Events Week

Imphal/Bishnupur, January 17 2023:
The Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South) conducted a drawing and painting competition in connection with Iconic Events Week to commemorate the 126th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at Imphal Peace Museum, Nambol under Bishnupur district today.
A total of 500 students participated in the competition, a statement from IGAR (S) has informed.
The event was graced by Education Minister, Thounaojam Basanta Singh.
Patriotic songs and lectures on Subhash Chandra Bose were presented by different schools.
The event culminated with prize distribution by the chief guest to selected students.
Separately, Keithelmanbi Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted "Prabhat Pheri" to commemorate the Iconic Events Week in connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Keithelmanbi Garrison, Imphal West district on January 17 .
The event was graced by Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, Health Minister and saw a healthy participation of approximately 800 individuals including students, NCC Cadets, Assam Rifles families and civil populace.
Lastly, Mantripukhri Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted Prabhat Pheri for the troops, families, children of HQ IGAR (S) and students of Assam Rifles Public School Mantripukhri to commemorate the Iconic Events Week in connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Mantripukhri Garrison.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 414 individuals including troops, families, teachers and students of Assam Rifles Public School Mantripukhri.
The event concluded with tea and refreshment.
