Bank Performance Review Meeting on PFMS held

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a Bank Performance Review Meeting in respect of Public Financial Management System (PFMS) with participation of officials of North Eastern states was held at Classic Grande Hotel, Chingmeirong on Friday.
During the meeting chaired by Union Ministry of Finance's additional CGA Dharitri Panda, a detailed discussion was conducted on issues related to new procedure for releasing funds under the Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Treasury Integration with PFMS.
Emphasis was given on timely and correct data exchange by the states with PFMS to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting and to ensure that there was no float in system and stressed on major Key Performance Indictors (KPIs) and Single Nodal Accounts (SNA) issues so as to make the banking systems more adaptive to the new changes.
The meeting was also attended by PFMS (West Zone) joint CGA Amitabh Tripathi; PFMS HQ, New Delhi joint CGA Jaspal Kaur Pradyot; NIC New Delhi DDG Dipankar Sengupta, technical team of PFMS and state finance officials of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
Representatives of 13 major and rural banks namely State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of India, Meghalaya Rural Bank, Mizoram Rural Bank, Tripura Grameen Bank, Nagaland Rural Bank and North East Small Finance Bank also attended the meet.
