CM promises cultural centre at Behiang

Chief Minister N Biren has announ-ced that the State Government will develop a State cultural centre at Beihang, Singhat AC near Indo-Myanmar at an estimated cost of about Rs 4 crore to 5 crore.
He also said that the Government is considering to build a children amusement park at Songpi village under Tuibong Block, Singhat AC (Tipaimukh road) and it will cost around Rs 3 crore to 4 crore.
In his Facebook post, the Chief Minister said "We have started working on a plan to develop a large State Cultural Centre at Beihang, near Myanmar border in Singhat AC which will cost about Rs 4-5 crore.
"Along with it, a children amusement park is also being planned to be built at Songpi village under Tuibong block, Singhat AC (Tipaimukh road) which will cost about Rs 3-4 crore.
We will deliver these two projects to the people within the next few months".

"I thank both Hon'ble MLAs Mr Letzamang Haokip and Mr Chinlun-thang for their support and full cooperation", Biren said.
As per the post, the tender process for construction of Henglep road has also been completed and work will start shortly.
The cost of the project is about Rs 100 crore.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has extended his condolences and announced ex-gratia for the victims of the tragic landslide that took place at Tipaimukh along National Highway-102 in Churachandpur district on Friday.
N Biren on Saturday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased, Rs 50,000 to critically injured and Rs 10,000 to those who sustained minor injuries.
Notably, two women were reportedly killed and several others sustained injuries, including two children when a passenger vehicle with 12 persons on board came under the debris of a landslide in Churachandpur on Friday.
