PFMS performance of SNA implementation and bank review meeting held

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a meeting with State Governments and Bank Performance Review Meeting in respect of Public Financial Management System (PFMS) was held yesterday at Classic Grande Hotel, Chiengmeirong.
The meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Dharitri Panda, Additional CGA, PFMS Division, Office of Controller General of Accounts, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
A detailed discussion with the State Governments was held on issues related to new procedure of release of funds under the Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Treasury Integration with PFMS.
Emphasis was made on timely and correct data exchange by the States with PFMS to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting and to ensure that there was no float in system.
The Bank Review Meeting stressed on major Key Performance Indictors (KPIs) and Single Nodal Accounts (SNA) issues so as to make the banking systems more adaptive for new changes.
The meeting was also attended by Amitabh Tripathi, Jt CGA , PFMS (West Zone), Jaspal Kaur Pradyot, Jt.CGA, PFMS Hqrs, New Delhi, Dipankar Sengupta, DDG, NIC New Delhi, and technical team of PFMS and State Finance Officials of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
13 major and rural Banks i.e.State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of India, Meghalaya Rural Bank, Mizoram Rural Bank, Tripura Grameen Bank, Nagaland Rural Bank and North East Small Finance Bank.
