Meet decides to reopen shops in Moreh

A meeting of the Border Trade Chamber of Commerce, Moreh held on Saturday at the conference hall of Tamil Sangam decided to reopen all the shops and business establishments in the border town but decided not to enter Tamu town in Myanmar till resolving the matter related to killing two Indians in Myanmar.
The meeting also resolved to install CCTV cameras in front of all the shops in Moreh town.
Before the meeting, the gathering observed two minutes' silence in memory of late P Mohon and M lyanar, who were shot dead by gunmen near Tamu town in Myanmar.
After the meeting, a team of Border Trade chamber of Commerce led by president V Sekhar visited the houses of P Mohon and M lyanar and presented Rs 25,000 each to their bereaved families.
According to V Sekhar, people residing in Moreh and Tamu had cordial relation since the past 50 years or so and it was very unfortunate that two Moreh residents were shot dead near Tamu.
The incident has severely affected cross-border trade and both governments of India and Myanmar must resolve the matter at the earliest.
He then appealed to people of Moreh not to enter Myanmar till resolving the present issue and strictly follow1 the DC Tengnoupal's order of banning entry of Indian citizens in Tamu.
