CHAMP steamroll SCCC by 10 wickets

Imphal, July 09 2022:
CHAMP (Khagempalli) overpowered SCCC (Singjamei) by 10 wickets in Saturday's action of the 6th MNCA W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite Tournament at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Electing to bat, SCCC could only muster 75 runs after being bundled out in 24.5 overs.
The Singjamei side's dismal innings saw Ulenyai Khwairakpam (11) emerge as the only batter who got into double digits.
It was the duo of Mohd Ahsanul Kabir and Lairenjam Ansh Singh who ripped through the SCCC batting order with their brilliant bowling spells.
Ahsanul Kabir finished with impressive figures of four wickets for eight runs off his 5.5 overs while Lairenjam Ansh did his bit with three wickets from his five overs.
Thingbaijam Nicholson Singh, Sougrakpam Shangkar Singh and Nitesh Sedai took one wicket each.
After their terrific bowling show, CHAMP needed only 11.5 overs to knock off the target courtesy of their openers.
In the chase, Sougrakpam Shangkar smashed an unbeaten 55 of 37 balls and Chingangbam Bonny Singh scored 17 (not out) to guide their side to a comprehensive victory.
Mohd Ahsanul Kabir, who picked up four wickets, was adjudged the man of the match.
REYS and CRAU will be up against each other on Monday, July 11 .
