Three State karatekas bag six gold at Karatethen-2022

Imphal, July 09 2022:
Three young State karatekas of Shito Ryu Karate-Do Manipur have bagged two gold medals each at the Karatethen 2022- an All India Open Karate Championship organised by Mashakio Shito Ryu Karate Do India in collaboration with Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Assam and Newspaper Association of India in Guwahati.
The opening day of the championship saw Manipur's Billubigyan Mutum, Soram Lannganbi Chanu and Pratik Dahal winning two gold medals each.
Billubigyan, son of Mutum Bankim and Mutum Sumila Leima of Patsoi Part-I won the gold medals in the 6 year kata event and 30 kg kumite event.

Billubigyan is presently reading in Class 2 at Kindergarten Montessori School, Sagolband Moirangleirak Machin.
Soram Lannganbi Chanu clinched the gold medals in the 8/9 years girls kata and -20 kg kumite events.
Lannganbi is the daughter of Soram Chinglen Luwang and Soram Milan Leima of Sega Road Takhellambam Leikai.
She is also a class 2 student, reading at RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya, North AOC.
Meanwhile, Pratik Dahal, son of Tiken Dahal and Pabitra Devi of Leimakhong won the gold medals in the 8/9 years boys kata and above 30 kg kumite event.
Pratik is a class V student of Cornerstone Mission School, Leimakhong Chingmang.
