Former DMU students demand documents

Former students of Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) Zoology department, who have completed M Sc in 2019-20 during Covid-19 pandemic, have demanded the university authority to issue their relevant documents by December 5 while cautioning that DMU controller of examinations would be held responsible for any unwanted consequences arising due to failure of releasing the documents within the given deadline.
Addressing a press meet in this regard at Manipur Press Club, here, on Tuesday, one of the students, Moirangthem Sunibala said that the 2019-20 batch students were given MSc degree in assignment mode in 2021.Except for admit cards, they were not provided any marksheets for 2nd and 3rd semesters.
Though they received marksheets for 1st and 4th semester, there are several discrepancies in the final semester marksheets.
As the university has failed to release the documents, the students are facing inconveniences in pursuing further studies or career, she said.
While contending that the passed out students had been demanding the university's controller of examinations Dr A Nabachandra to release their marksheets and admit cards since May this year, she charged that the controller and his sub-ordinate staff have been denying their request by seek more time again and again.
As such she urged authority concerned of the university to take up necessary measures for releasing the documents at the earliest.
