Biren meets consul generals, ambassadors

Chief Minister N Biren met consul generals and ambassadors of several countries and discussed matters related with G-20 Summit and global relationship at the cabinet hall of the CM's secretariat, here, on Tuesday.
The CM also had a meeting with consul general of France (Kolkata) Didier Taipain and a French delegation.
In his social media post, the CM shared that Manipur will be among the multiple states that will be celebrating India's G20 presidency.
Preparations are underway to hold events in the state during the presidency, as it offers a unique opportunity to showcase the potentials of Manipur to the nation and the world.
Biren also shared information about a meeting with the Consul General of the US (Kolkata) Melinda Pavek and the US delegation.
"Immensely happy the countries of the world come together as a single global village.
Manipur will stand out and shine as it becomes a worldclass tourist destination in India, and give many con tributions to the growth of the nation," the CM wrote in another social media post.
In yet another post, the CM shared, "I was called on by ambassador of Myanmar Moe Kyaw Aung, Ambassador of Thailand Pattarot Hongtong, ambassador of Cambodia UNG Sean, High Commissioner of Brunei Dato Alaihuddin Mohamad Taha and other esteemed dignitaries at my official residence".
"The gathering here today heralds the journey of Manipur in playing a key role in connecting India with Southeast Asia and boosting ecotourism in the state under many new ventures as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under his Act East Policy," the CM added.
