14 from Bihar among 15 held for flouting ILP rules

Imphal, February 07 2023:
A team of City police station on Tuesday arrested 15 non-locals, one from Punjab and 14 from Bihar who did not possess valid 1LP permits and produced then before the executive magistrate, who made them to pay fine as per the relevant rules.
Police sources said that the City police team, during an ILP drive in Nagamapal area, intercepted a truck on Tuesday around 8 am.
The truck driver was found not having a valid ILP pass.
Upon further checking, 14 more individuals, all without ILP permits, were found at the back of the truck.
The arrested individuals from Bihar have been identified as Md Najim (35) son of Md Naithu of Araria, Md Umar (18) son of Md Nilkahil & Md Firoj (21) son of Md Abdul Rahman both of Araria Rampur, Md Ikramul (18) son of Safi Ahamad of Rekotganj, Sanumul Khan (45) son of Atabul Khan of Panchayat Pothia, Ali Ahamad (37) son of Qurubuddin of Rakothanj, Ashan Asnari (50) son of Md Salim & Md Tausub (18) son of Farid both of Araria, Md Jumay (49) son of Lathif Khan of Idgat ward no 13, Md Jahangur (42) son of Md Yunus, Md Chhotu (42) son of Sheikh and Md Samur (20) son of Md Jamil all of Rampur, Md Hareem (18) son of Md Gafer of Bhatiya Batharaha, and (driver) Harman Singh (30) son of Surjit of Amritsar, Punjab.
They were released after making to pay a fine of Rs 1000 each and with the advice to apply for ILP permit from the district administration concerned.
