Bishnupur, February 07 2023:
The State Government has instructed all concerned, particularly the owners of domesticated animals such as cattle to keep them in proper sheds or feed them at suitable grazing/pasture grounds under the supervision of a cattle herder in order to prevent any untoward incident/nuisance.
The notice issued by Bikram Lourembam, Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur stated that many herds of cattle from nearby villages and municipal areas of Bishnupur district have been seen blocking the National Highway-2 and other main roads with the likelihood of causing mishaps and disturbance to the general public particularly during the visit of G-20 Summit meetings in Bishnupur district on February 18, it added.
The notice further cautioned that any person/owners violating this directive will be liable to be punished under Section 8B of the National Highways Act, 1956 read with Chapter-III of the Cattle-Trespass Act, 1871 .
