Kut greetings

Governor Dr Ashwani Kumar and Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh have led the rest in extending greetings to the people of Manipur, especially those from the Kuki-Mizo-Chin community on the happy and joyous occasion of Kut festival, 2013 .
In his greeting, Dr Ashwani said that Kut, a post harvest festival of the people is a thanksgiving to the almighty for a generous harvest.
The celebrations have now transcended the Kuki-Mizo-Chin community to all the people of Northeast India.
The Governor hoped that Kut 2013 would spread the message of love, peace, harmony and peaceful co-existence among all the ethnic groups of the region.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, in his greeting, observed that the spirit of Kut festival is all about sharing, understanding, harmonious co-existence, co-operation and merriment, and prayed that the festival will spread the message of love, peace and brotherhood amongst all communities living in Manipur.
He also called for joining hands to work unitedly for bringing everlasting peace and prosperity in Manipur by resolving our differences and taking the path of non-violence.
President of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Gaikhangam; President of Naga Peoples' Front (NPF),Manipur State unit Soso Lorho; Major General Rajeev Chopra, IG AR (South) and All Ranks of Assam Rifles, Kuki Inpi Manipur, United Committee Manipur (UCM), etc have also extended Kut greetings to the people.
