Imphal, October 31 2013:
The Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF), All Zeliangrong Student's Union (AZSU) and Zeliangrong Student's Union, Manipur (ZSUM) have a joint sitting today at ZSUM Office at Namdunlong, following the expiry of 'One Week' deadline given to the Govt of Manipur and subsequent lack of response to fulfil the six points demand made on October 22 .
According to a statement, the joint sitting discussed in detail about the strategy and method of democratic agitation to be launched.
However, considering the forth coming programmes and festivals of different communities such as Kut, Diwali and Ningol Choukouba, the plan to launch agitation has been deferred till the completion of these festivals in the interest of the people, the statement said.
But the agitation would be launched in intense form after these programmes and festivals are over.
The Chief Minister, Ministers and MLAs who can spare valuable time on sports and entertainment but cannot spend time to resolve sensitive issues shows complete lack of commitment and interest on the part of the people representatives in people's related issues.
Any negative fallout in connection with the 6 points demand raised by the ZYF, AZSU and ZSUM on behalf of the people would be the creation of State Govt, it said.
