A Tothang Khulakpi thanked the organiser for bringing the campaign at her village and said that officials gave good information that will go a long way in bringing a change to the society.
She appealed to all to translate the knowledge they have gained into action for speedy development of the village.
"If you do not do anything even after collecting a lot of information no changes will be brought in the village", she said.
Delivering his address as chief guest of the function, Angshem Tontang observed that when we were young there were no opportunities as such available to the present young students for knowing the developmental programmes launched by the Government.
Young students are lucky and fortunate, and they will be wiser.
He exhorted that we all must attempt to grab the opportunity available to us that will come from making ourselves aware of the programmes launched by the Government for rural masses.
He said that whether a village has received the light of development or not can be grasped by looking to the faces of poor people.
Unless the villages are developed at par with the town areas a nation cannot be called developed.
It is really heart breaking to see the life style prevalent here in the village, which is in precarious condition.
Health care is in dismal position basic amenities are absent.
But the Government of India spends crores of rupees for development of rural areas.
We must attempt to know whether we are getting the funds meant for us by using mechanism introduced by the Government.
In his presidential speech, James Khaling observed that attending such programme is like picking up gold from the road.
Those who have attended such programmes will be able to grab more jewels by pursuing what they have learnt at such programme.
