Imphal, October 31 2013:
Kuki Students' Organisation, Imphal (KSO-I) and Kuki Inpi Imphal (KII) have vehemently condemned the October 30 bomb blast at Yaiskul Moreh Van Parking which claimed the lives of three innocent van drivers namely Leishangthem Brojen, Hollun Touthang and Laishram Rajen while injuring many others.
The two Kuki bodies felt very unfortunate for the lost of human lives at the cost of someone's personal agendas and term the incident as an act of terrorist and not an act of true revolutionary groups.
The bodies demand those individuals/groups involved in the blast to clarify the reason behind their act in the interest of general public and appeal not to repeat such act in the future.
"Moreover, four blasts in the heart of Imphal city in a month is a shameful situation for the ruling Congress government.
The status quo has caused anxiety to the local populace.
Life in the state has become insecure civilian don't dare to venture out even in the broad daylight, the Kuki bodies stated.
At the sametime, the series of blasts created confusion amongst the general public and people started to ask themselves whether they could really rely on the local state law enforcing agencies.
Therefore, the two bodies appeal the state government to be more cautious and initiate stringent security measures.
