Booklet released

Releasing a booklet titled 'Kuki SoO Terror Trails - Evidential Files', published by the Meitei Alliance, a group of 29 civil society organisations have called upon the Governments of India and Manipur to abrogate the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreements with the Kuki National Organisation (KNO) and the United People's Front (UPF) .
The booklet, which is a compilation of documented official records of alleged ground-rule violations by armed groups operating under the SoO framework, was released at Imphal Hotel today.
Naga People's Union Imphal general secretary HB Kowarhing Anal, Core Committee on relief and Rehabilitation convenor Yazing Vicisy Shimray and researcher Munindro Longjam among others were present.
Speaking to reporters, Kowarhing Anal said that the booklet has details of violence, criminal activities and atrocities carried out by SoO armed groups violating the ground rules of the agreement.
The booklet has been published with the objective to expose the blatant violation of SoO agreement by the armed groups operating under it, and put pressure on the Governments to abrogate the agreement, Kowarhing said.
